The Slot Summit in France will have a regional focus on France, Spain, Portugal, Belgium and the UK – including Ireland. Presentations will primarily be in English but with simultaneous translation into French and Spanish.
Support: The event is supported by the ECA as the events address many of the issues facing its members in a practical and helpful way. At each Slot Summit, over three days casino managers, slot managers and marketing staff are taken through the key elements of building a successful slot floor – from recognizing the types of players to choosing the right game volatility to maximize revenue and encourage return visits. The events also allow effective business networking between delegates, speakers and manufacturers in a relaxed setting.
Slot industry experts gathered in Hannover, Germany in March for the European Casino Association Slot Summit at the city's RP5 casino entertainment centre. Some 70+ delegates from across Europe - including participants from Germany, The Netherlands, Austria, Switzerland, Luxembourg and Scandinavia - were treated to a packed, three-day programme of high-power presentations and panel discussions, product demonstrations and sneak technology previews.
Each session focussed on a specific topic related to improving the casino slot floor - from the use of mystery prizes to data handling and requirements, effective marketing, performance assessment and server based gaming - giving delegates the chance to examine the challenges facing modern casinos and discuss the opportunities available through new technologies. To ensure all delegates gained the maximum benefit from the event, a team of simultaneous interpreters was on hand throughout the entire three days.
Organiser Lucien Wijsman was clearly delighted with the success of the event: "Judging by the feedback received from delegates and sponsors, the event has been a great success. The facilities at RP5, which is also home to Spielbank Hannover, are perfect for an event of this kind. I am sure the delegates will be returning to their home casinos revitalized and with many fresh ideas to optimize the potential of their slot floors."
"We have been very impressed by the event from the outset and would like to thank and congratulate Lucien Wijsman for all his efforts," said ECA Chairman Ron Goudsmit. "We look forward to continuing this fruitful partnership at the next Slot Summit in Paris in September."
The European Casino Association would specially like to thank Emila Tomachinska from D-Systems, all the helping hands at Spielbank Hannover as well as all the sponsors (Ainsworth Game Technology, Alfa Street, Austrian Gaming Industries, Bally Technologies, Inspired Gaming, IGT, Gaming Support, Spielo International, Konami and EGT ) for their support and is looking forward to welcoming delegates at the next Slot Summit, which will be held in Paris, France in September 2012.

The European Casino Association
The European Casino Association (ECA) represents national associations and individual operators of licensed land-based casinos in Europe. To date, the ECA represents the interests of about 800 casinos and over 60.000 employees in 22 countries across Europe.
Founded in the early 1990s as the European Casino Forum, the ECA has grown steadily over the years and today includes members from nearly all EU Member States, as well as Switzerland and Serbia.
The ECA Slot Summit addresses many of the issues facing ECA member casinos and has the full support of the European Casino Association. At each Slot Summit, casino managers, slot managers and marketing staff are offered practical and helpful support in the key elements of building a successful slot floor - from recognizing player types to selecting the right game volatility.
The unique event also provides plenty of scope for effective business networking between delegates, speakers and manufacturers in a more casual setting.
